Donate toys and games

Patient Charlie smiling with some toys

As the festive period approaches, we are incredibly fortunate to receive a large quantity of generous donations but unfortunately have very limited storage space. If you would like to donate a gift to the hospital, would you consider donating a gift voucher instead? The hospital’s expert Play team can then use this to purchase, on your behalf, the specific items, toys and gifts that the children need most.

If you would prefer to donate a physical gift, see a list of suggested items below.  We also ask that these items are not gift wrapped with a limited amount of 50 gifts per donation.

All gifts or gift vouchers would be gratefully received at our Charity offices:

GOSH Charity, Second Floor, 40 Bernard Street, London, WC1N 1LE.

This can be in person or via post.

Please advise us if you intend to visit in person so that we can arrange a time between Monday-Friday 9:30am-4pm, during the period of Monday 9 December – Wednesday 18 December.

If you decide to post your gifts or gift vouchers, please include your name and contact information so that we can acknowledge your kind donation.

By donating toys or games to Great Ormond Street Hospital Charity (GOSH Charity) you are supporting the hospital’s urgent needs and enabling us to provide life-changing care for young patients and their families.

Tips

  • Don’t forget the age group you’re donating to is 0-18 years (teenagers are often forgotten).
  • If you donate chocolate, make sure the ingredients are on the packet as we have to be careful with allergies.
  • Please do not wrap the gifts. Due to infection control measures, we have to unwrap all gifts before giving them to the children. We are happy to accept gift wrap separately so we can wrap gifts ourselves.
  • Unfortunately, we are unable to pay for the cost of collecting your gifts or delivering them to the hospital.
