What we do

We are Great Ormond Street Hospital Charity. We stop at nothing to help give seriously ill children childhoods that are fuller, funner and longer.

For the hundreds of children from all over the UK who are treated by Great Ormond Street Hospital every day, for children with rare or complex diseases everywhere, for this generation and all those to come.

Because we believe no childhood should be lost to illness.

Together with supporters and fundraisers like you, we fund groundbreaking research, cutting-edge medical equipment, and the building and refurbishment of child-centred facilities.

We fund in-hospital play teams, music therapy, art and entertainment programmes. And family support, like free home-from-home accommodation near the hospital and a multifaith chaplaincy service.

Together, we help Great Ormond Street Hospital go above and beyond for seriously ill children. We enable kinder and better treatments, bringing hope for children with the rarest and most complex illnesses and making hospital a little bit easier and a lot more fun for the thousands of children who are treated here every year.
