Fundraise for the Children's Cancer Centre

Every year, around 1,800 families in the UK are told their child has cancer. And every week, around five children in the UK lose their lives to cancer. That’s five families who are faced with the worst news possible.

We’re building the new, world-leading Children’s Cancer Centre at GOSH. Find out how your fundraising can help us make this incredible building a reality.

Meet Paddy

Paddy, who was treated at GOSH as a child, took on an incredible swimming challenge to support the children at GOSH today.

"It has always been a dream of mine to swim the English Channel, and I thought there was nowhere better to raise money for than GOSH,” he says. “It was only due to the heroic efforts of doctors and nurses at GOSH that I am able to enjoy my life today.

"Swimming the Channel is nothing compared to the things that some of these parents and children are going through. This is my first fundraising initiative. Rare diseases are often overlooked and if there is anything I can do to help, I want to do it.”

Meet Scarlett

Superstar Scarlett came to GOSH for care when she was eight years old. She needed urgent surgery and spent the week recovering with her family by her side.

"The dedication, love, support and care you feel when walking into GOSH is greater than any hospital I’ve ever experienced,” says her mum, Gemma. “GOSH will forever be in our hearts.”

To help give back to the teams who looked after her, Scarlett organised a dress-down day at her school. Along with her little sister, she also presented an assembly to share her experience. They inspired everyone to take part and raised an amazing £500.
