2024 Great North Run: Cheer Station Volunteer

On Sunday 8 September 2024, we will have a team of TeamGOSH participants taking part in the 2024 AJ Bell Great North Run, all raising money for seriously ill children at Great Ormond Street Hospital.

What’s involved?

We're looking for fantastic volunteers to come and help support our TeamGOSH participants at our cheer station on the day.

Our cheer station is based just outside of South Shields, near Bede Metro station, and your role will be to cheer on participants as they pass, helping us to give them a fantastic on the day experience and an extra boost to help them cross the finish line.

We will kit you out with everything you need, including a T-shirt to wear on arrival and cheer materials to help you make as much noise as possible.

Exact roles and timings will be allocated closer to the event day, however all our volunteers are valuable and important in making the event a success.

We are looking for volunteers to support with cheering between 11.30am – 3pm. If you can only do part of this, we would still welcome your support!
