Why become a philanthropic donor

Our Philanthropy team works closely to match donors’ interests with the most urgent priorities at Great Ormond Street Hospital (GOSH).

Like you, we want each gift to work as hard as possible for seriously ill children and their families and we’re committed to ensuring that every penny has the maximum impact.

Supporting high quality research

Our Trustees review how the charity allocates its money to make sure it helps GOSH go above and beyond for seriously ill children.

The charity is a member of the Association of Medical Research Charities. We’ve implemented an independent peer-review process and established an externally-led Research Assessment Panel to make sure that all research we fund meets the highest standards of quality, accountability, transparency and openness.

Together for childhood

Making a difference to the lives of seriously ill children is a truly rewarding experience.

We aim to involve you in the work you choose to fund – through visits to the hospital, meetings with our medical and research experts, sharing bespoke progress and impact reports and by celebrating successes together.
