The Three Peaks Challenge takes on the highest mountains in Scotland, England and Wales and is the most highly regarded trekking challenge within the UK!

About the Three Peaks Challenge

The challenge begins in one of Scotland’s most scenic areas; Glen Nevis Valley. From here you'll climb Ben Nevis, the largest mountain in the UK standing at 1,344m.

On descending Ben Nevis you'll be driven towards the beautiful Lake District where you'll begin the second of the three peaks - Scafell Pike; the highest mountain in England standing at 978m.

The final challenge takes on the highest mountain in Wales; Snowdon, standing at 1,085m.

Challenge highlights

  • Challenge grading: Extreme (3/3). Participants must train beforehand

  • Summit the three highest mountains in England, Scotland and Wales

  • Trekking time: 24 hours or less!

  • Distance trekked: 22 miles approx.

Itinerary

  • Day 1: Meet in Glasgow and transfer for Fort William for dinner, briefing and overnight stay, ahead of starting the challenge.

  • Day 2: An early start, as you begin your Ben Nevis trek. After descending, you'll transfer to Scafell Pike, stopping for dinner en-route. Summit Scafell Pike, and then transfer to Snowdon through the night.

  • Day 3: Another early start, as you summit Snowdon. You'll then descend, and stop for a spot of lunch. Glowing with accomplishment, you'll transfer to Chester Train Station where the challenge ends.
