Childhood and cancer. Two words that should never go together. That is why we are setting out to build a new world-leading Children’s Cancer Centre.

A unique facility that will aim to improve outcomes for children with cancer. A gateway for children to go on to better futures, where they not only survive, but flourish.

We are trying to push for not just cure, but for better quality of life for children.

Emily Baker, Senior Clinical Research Nurse at GOSH

GOSH already has a dedicated team of experts who specialise in the most complex childhood cancers. Dr Emma Stockton is a Consultant Anaesthetist at GOSH. She says: “We have a whole team, including doctors, nurses and physiotherapists, helping to build the vision.” But we need your help to bring that vision to life.

Start your monthly donation today to help us build the new Children’s Cancer Centre at GOSH and beat cancer for more children.

How your support can help

  • £10
£10 a month could help fund a bespoke sofa bed for parents to stay overnight with their child.
  • £12
£12 a month could help fund a specialist children’s bed on one of our new cancer wards.
  • £15
£15 a month could help fund a ventilator for the Critical Care Unit in the new centre.

Meet Yumna

At just two years old, Yumna was diagnosed with high-risk neuroblastoma; a rare form of cancer. She underwent treatment at GOSH involving several rounds of high dose chemotherapy and immunotherapy. The side effects were severe. At one point, she had a seizure and stopped breathing. It was a very difficult time for Yumna and her family.

The new Children’s Cancer Centre will support every aspect of care for children like Yumna. A place designed with the needs of children and their families at its heart.

“The larger rooms in the new Children’s Cancer Centre will be amazing. Having balcony space where parents can go outside for a breather will make a huge difference to their mental health.”

Yumna’s mum, Salma

Donate £12 a month to help build the new Children’s Cancer Centre and support more families like Yumna’s.

Join the team today and together, we can Build it. Beat it.

All funds raised will go towards the development of cancer care at Great Ormond Street Hospital. In the event that costs change, or the needs of the hospital or patients change, we reserve the right to redirect funds for use against the hospital’s most urgent needs.
