Great Ormond Street Hospital Children’s Charity’s Legacy Management Team provide assistance to solicitors and executors, ensuring our supporter’s gifts are directed in accordance with their last wishes.
Please contact the legacy team as early as possible during the administration of an estate. Our experienced Legacy Management Team are authorised to provide official receipt and discharge to executors and will be happy to answer queries.

We very much appreciate how overwhelming and complicated the work of an executor can be at times. Please contact our friendly and experienced Legacy Management Team as early as possible. They will be happy to provide guidance and answer your questions.
How can I pay by cheque?
Please make your cheque payable to: GOSH Charity (or Great Ormond Street Hospital Children’s Charity)
Write the name of the estate on the reverse and send to: GOSH Charity 40 Bernard Street, London WC1N 1LE
Please contact the Legacy Management Team to let them know your cheque is on the way as this helps us ensure that the gift is recorded correctly.
Who should I speak to about getting a receipt for a legacy?
Our Legacy Management Team are authorised to provide what is known as ‘official receipt and discharge’ to executors.

Do I need to pay tax on the legacy gift?
Charities are usually exempt from Inheritance Tax and Capital Gains Tax but each case differs and timing is often important. Our team can help identify potential issues and direct executors to useful guidance.
The Will shows a different charity number, name or address - how do I confirm I’m contacting the right charity?
