Emily's story
Buying a raffle ticket in our Summer Raffle means we can help more seriously ill children like Emily (pictured above).
Seven-year-old Emily has been a patient at Great Ormond Street Hospital (GOSH) all her life. She was born with severe heart and kidney problems and had open heart surgery when she was just seven days old. Despite many procedures and treatments, Emily was given a terminal diagnosis – doctors didn’t think she would survive.
But in January 2022, she had a major heart operation at GOSH that changed everything. “We have confirmation that she should now reach adulthood, a timescale we never dared to believe we would have with her. We are so excited for her future,” says Emily’s guardian, Val. “Emily would not be here without Great Ormond Street.”
It’s so easy to enter our Summer Raffle and each ticket costs just £1. It’s a small amount, but it all adds up. Every ticket sold – and every pound collected – will help build a better future for seriously ill children.

What is a charity raffle?
The charity online raffle is a great way to win amazing prizes. We run multiple raffles a year and tickets are just £1! All the funds raised will be used to support the work of Great Ormond Street Hospital.
How much is a Summer charity raffle ticket?
A raffle ticket is just £1.
How does the online raffle draw work?
Players purchase raffle tickets with numbers on, the tickets are then randomly drawn and the individual whose ticket matches the drawn ticket wins a prize.
How do I find out if I've won in the raffle draw?
The winners of the Speed Draw and Main Draw will be contacted by letter or phone.
