Meet Jemimah-Rose

Last spring, Montelle and Samuel arrived at their baby’s 20-week scan full of excitement. But the joyful moment didn’t last. Their sonographer spotted an issue and their baby, Jemimah-Rose, was diagnosed with hypoplastic left heart syndrome – her heart was critically underdeveloped.
When Jemimah-Rose was born, medical teams at GOSH sprang into action. In those first critical hours, monitoring her fragile heart was essential. She needed surgery, and doctors needed to track her heart function precisely to stabilise her condition. Every moment mattered.
For two months, while Jemimah-Rose recovered from the surgery, her parents stayed in free family accommodation, close to their daughter. The Play team supported them with toys and books and helped them bond as a family, while the Chaplaincy service provided crucial spiritual support.

In the event that we cannot use your donation as originally intended, e.g. costs change, additional funds are received over and above our target, the needs of the hospital or patients change, or the project is no longer deliverable, we reserve the right to redirect funds for use in accordance with the charitable objects of GOSH Charity.
